I tried to develop Custom Layout in my Netweaver 7.4 Portal.

I followed steps in the document How to Create Custom Layouts - Web Page Composer in SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3

I was able to deploy. I got the layout appearing in the WPC Layouts.

I am able to select content on the Layout in the edit mode. But once i finished editing and click Done. The Content is not visible any more

It is like an empty page. Not sure what is happening. and when i click on Edit the content is there.  Even if i try to publish the content is not visible.

There are no Portal runtime errors. it  just refuses to render.

I saw that it is not loading wpc runtime css files etc..

can anybody help me out here.

While Installing NW7.0 Ehp 2 JAVA - HA, after providing ERS instance number stuck with below error.

I am using SWPM- SP 04. found note 1961290 which inturn refering to sap note 1680045.

*CRM ABAP was installed on HA, profiles are created with proper permissions and parameters for CRM 702, profiles has virtual hostnames in CAPITAL letters.

i have to update manually the SAP Host Agent on a NetWeaver 7.31 Java stack and I followed the instructions on

Installing SAP Host Agent Manually - SAP Host Agent - SAP Library

As of the instructions i have to use the "saphostexec.exe", which should be part of the newer version i have downloaded... unfortunately, that is not the case and the SAR file contains far less files as the currently installed version.

Is the documentation not up to date or has something changed? Can I just copy & past the extracted files and overwrite the old ones in the current folder or do i have to use any other tool?

I have made a upgrading of BASIS and ABAP Support Package Level to 6.20 69.

I recreated the total stms with DEV as domain controller as initially. Transport for all landscape are working fine but when I go to stms_import and refresh import queue it asks the user ID and password of each Server (DEV, QA, PRD).

It happens every time on transport (asking password).

I appreciate any help our tip.

A customer has aksed me to configure the sending of mails from his SAP system.

No problem I tought, ... I configure the SMTP-server is his profile parameters, I do some configuration and job-scheduling in SCOT and that's it.

so far so good, no issues encountered, but now he wants to get his mails that he has send from his ERP system into his 'Sent Items' box on his mail client.

Anyone an idea ?

I've been reading sap notes, scn wiki's / blogs, etc., regarding the best deployment option for EWM 9.1.

According to note 1606493: for new installation of EWM 9.0 onwards, standalone (¿means on a NetWeaver system?) is the standard deployment.

Considering that  there is no restriction regarding hardware & software capability,

1. it would be a better option to deploy it as an add-on on SCM Server instead of standalone on Netweaver?

2. Any difference between both kind of deployments?

3. If EWM 9.1 needs Netweaver 7.4 and the rest of  currrent boxes (ECC 6, F&R on SCM, BI, etc.) are built on Netweaver 7.3, which kind of risk should I consider in terms of compatibility?
