where do i put robots.txt?

$

Hi Netweaver guru's

Can someone tell me if it is possible to add a robot.txt file on an external facing netweaver java instance?

We are running an xLSO solution, which is available from the internet.

The solutions i created so that you can access it by goring to: learning.mycompany.com which will then redirect you to learning.mycompany.com/xlso/xxxxx

So, there are no reverse proxies or anything in between, and therefore wee need a robots.txt file  (to keep search engines from cataloging the content).

I can see that it is possible, and sap has some recomendations, when you run an external facing portal for instance.

But i cant seem to find a guide or how-to

Help is therefore much apreciated!

RFC SDK / RfcOpenEx / X509CERT Parameter

$

Hello,

I am trying to connect through the RFC API to an SAP system, which I normally use with my own certificate.

Unfortunately the connection is unsuccessful and I get the following error message back:

     RFC Error Info : Group : 103 Key : RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE Message : No suitable SAP user found for X.509-client certificate

My implementation is in PHP, but I created an equivalent code snippet in C,

which would have the same meaning:

        /*

     1. client_cert contains the certificate of the SAP user.

     2. The connection parameters are as follows:

          ASHOST     = "...sap...system..."

          SYSNR          = "24"

          CLIENT          = "100"

          X509CERT     = client_cert

          GWHOST     = "...sap...system..."

          R3NAME     = "CSS"

          LANG          = "EN"

     */

     handle = RfcOpenEx(connectionParameters);

     if (!handle) {

          printf("Connection failed. Error info: %s", RfcError());

     }

     RfcClose(handle);

As we see from the result, the connection really fails and the error

description sais, that the system cannot find an user with such certificate.

(I should remind you, that I cut off the BEGIN CERTIFICATE and END

CERTIFICATE tags, as well as the white spaces in the certificate. If I don't

do this, I get the message, that the maximum length of the parameter is

exeeded, which now means for me, that the certificate could not be parsed).

I would be very thankful if someone could help me to find the right

solution. Since I don't have any idea what happens after the RFC SDK

library's entry point and in the documentation is not specified in which

format the certificate must be supplied, it is very hard for me to guess

where and what is wrong. The error messages are also not very helpful in my

situation, for I cannot figure out how to proceed.

Thanks in advance for Your help!

Are BOM's time sensitive?

$

0

HI

We have several BOM's set up within our R3 system and some of these are not reaching the production plans.

I'm now wondering if there is an issue with the validity dates we have set up for different plants.

We have a sub plant with effective date ahead of the main plant for some items and these are not feeding the forecast data into the production plans.

On other items where the main plant predates the sub plant the data flows perfectly.

I'm not aware of there being any timing issues within SAP, however this does seem to show that if we have more than one live BOM for production, then only the first effective date will be picked up by production.

We can change the BOM type if you know that to be a cure for this and I will apply the learning with our Master data "expert" who is currently claiming that this is a special engineering add on which the company does not have.. Even though this is part of the standard SAP system and I can see the different BOM types in the system.

I have tried to find this information by searching the online directory, but there is no mention of having multiple live BOM's for production that I can find.

Hoping that there is someone who can help clear this up as I'm having to go through a lot of data checks to the production plans each month to cover off the dependent demand.

Thanks in advance

Doug

ST02 shows multiple servers after heterogenous system copy

We're facing a strange behaviour in ST02 after a system copy using MaxDB backup/restore with SWPM (backup was from our production system). When we click on history, no data is shown:

We have to click on "-> Server", then the data is shown:

Does anyone know how to make history work?

Dear Experts,

    I am trying to install SAP ECC 6.0 EhP7 in Linux. I am getting the following error,

I have gone through forums, i tried to create ONISTALL manually. But still it doesn't work.

Any clue?

Logon not possible (Error in license check)

Hi,

I am a SDN subscriber and successfully installed SAP Netweaver 7.0 SR3 on Solaris 10/08 oracle 10.2.0.4 database.

Got the new license key file (Digitally-Signed License Key) and successfully installed with user sap*.

But when I logon with newly created user it gives an error "Logon not possible (Error in license check)"

I tried following but did not work out.

-- Reinstall license key twice and show license installed successfully.

-- Cannot install license from command prompt (saplicense -install -ifile=filename.txt) it gives an error "license key file is digital" try installing by login to system".

-- Tried to recreate another user same problem.

-- was able to logon with temp license but once temp license deleted cannot logon with new permenent license.

-- only one user sap* can logon.

-- SLICENSE shows license in database with staus "Green"

-- Harware key, installation number verified. seems ok.

-- When I am trying to install temp license it gives an error message " There is a permenent license key for "NetWeaver_ORA" in the system but it has never been checked successfully.In this situation a temporary license key must not be installed.

If anyone had similer problem and found the solution please post it. would be appreciated for the solution.

The request seems to be a proper soap-call.

AUTOSTART=1 Not to Be Used

$

I am having an issue with AUTOSTART=1 not working on 2 of my systems.  The system does not start until I open the MMC, interestingly I don't have to manually start the instance, just opening the MMC kicks off the AUTOSTART process.  I opened a ticket with SAP and I was told that AUTOSTART=1 should be not used any more because

Apart from the fact that using Autostart parameter can change the control in the start of the instances, the recommendations of changes

in the service definition are not necessary and  can be dangerous because customer could use versions in other directories that could

change  the security settings and even provoke the instance doesn´t start. This is dangerous and can create more problems in the systems.

Juding from the number of topics on SDN, I see that many people are still using AUTOSTART=1 but what does one use to start an instance after a reboot if we can't use AUTOSTART=1.

Dear SAP Experts,

I wanted to install standalone SAP NW Gateway 2.0 for SAP Mobile Platform 3.0.

Can you please help me with required documentation for installation of SAP NW Gateway 2.0 on Windows Server 2008 R2 along with the exact SWPM release which needs to be used for the installation.

I did installed with SWPM by using option as per attached screen shot. Please let me know whether this was a right procedure for NW Gateway Installation or I need to follow something else. After installation I have checked at SAP MMC and found all the processes running. But I am not aware how to access the NW Gateway. Please guide me as I am little new to this area.
