reinstall central instance on other host without reinstall db
Hallo, if my central instance application server failed, is it possible to reinstal it on other server without reinstalling db server?
In my scenario I have /sapmnt/SID/gobal available from failed server.
db server and application servers are on different hosts.

SAP Web Dispatcher Backend Issues
I have 1 web dispatcher with 2 names/alias
webdisp1.com
webdisp2.com
My applications are SAP SMP & windows IIS which is hosting a website to our sap mobile app. Each has a name/alias
App1.com & App2.com respectively
I have 2 servers with 3 pairs of applications.
1) SAP SMP = App1.com:8083/Admin installed to server1 + server2
2) Windows IIS = App1.com:443 installed to server1 + server2
3) Windows IIS =App2.com:443 installed to server1 + server2
note that app1 has 2 ports.
note that app2 and app3 are same ports.
Now, what I want for web dispatcher are the following
if I connect to webdisp1.com:8083/Admin, it will redirect to App1.com:8083/Admin
if I connect to webdisp1.com:443, it will redirect to App1.com:443
if I connect to webdisp2.com:443, it will redirect to App2.com:443
So far I had all links working. Except that App2.com:8083/Admin exists. which supposedly should not.

High rejected operation in SM12
Hi, all.
We are having some performance issue with certain custom programs. The system is ERP 6.0 EHP5. Looking at the SM12 stats, I noticed really high reject ratio. However, I haven't found any potential solution for it. Can you please advise what we can do in the situation? The lock table is set to 200000 and I don't see we are anywhere close to lock table overflow.

Trex Trace File size
Hi Team,
We have TREX Dev and PRD system where RFC trace has grown to 800 MB.
How can that be cleaned as I am getting alert in the Admin console.
I can see a clear button in the admin console, can we sue to clear that or if there is any other way to clear that.
What if I clear that file manually from OS level, but it is difficult to get downtime to perform that.
Need your help in this issue.

CCMS RFC Destination Monitoring
Hello everyone,
we have configured CCMS Alert monitoring for important RFC destinations as per SAP Note:
1069130 - RFC Destination Monitoring: Separate Method for Each Destination
We have configured to monitor some ABAP based RFCs and couple of TCPIP RFC Destinations.
After the configuration, ABAP based RFCs (Connection Type 3) are showing the correct results.
It can be seen under RZ20 --> SAP CCMS Monitor Templates -> Availability and Performance Overview --> Availability --> RFC-Destinations--> "RFC names".
But for RFC Destinations based on Connection Type "T" does not show green even though the connection test works correctly.
Please provide the solution to solve this problem.

How to move some objects of the Task from dev to production.
HI,
I have one question.
I have on Tr. Under this Tr I have one Task, Under this task i have 4 objects Like below.
Ved01 = TR
ved02 = task
object1
object2
object3
object4.
Now i would like to move only object3 and object4.May i know how could i delete it from the task.
If i double click on the task , May be i can able to delete unwanted task. But my question is After some days again if i want to move remaining two objects how could i move.

Smartforms PO - output type external send - for purchase order
Dear
I want to define a specific output type for example ZPOM, with medium 'External Send'. The communication Strategy is SMTP (MAIL).
The configuration of the Processing Routine is the following:
Program: - FM06P
Form Routine: ENTRY_MEU
SMARTFORM: Z_MM_PURCHASEORDER.
When we create this mesage in the PO, no mail is send. There is also no processing log available.
Is it possible to use the same smartform with print program that is used for Medium 'Print Output' for medium 'External Send'?

Can not connect to SDM during SUM execution phase
Hello Experts,
I am facing an issue during a patch upgrade for our Solman system using SUM.The patch upgrade i started using option "Manual stack directory" and components included for update are LM-Service/IS-AGENT/J2EE Engine/J2EE Core.
During execution phase SUM is throwing the below error
"Could not detect system components. Could not detect deployed components. Could not synchronize the table with system component versions with SDM repository. com.sap.sdm.apiimpl.remote.client.APIRemoteExceptionImpl: Server JBLDCVSDSSM03 did not accept login request as admin on port 50018. Details: ERROR: Could not establish connection to server JBLDCVSDSSM03 at port 50018: Connection refused: connect (port 50018 to address 10.51.31.36) com.sap.sdm.apiimpl.remote.client.APIRemoteExceptionImpl: Server JBLDCVSDSSM03 did not accept login request as admin on port 50018. Details: ERROR: Could not establish connection to server JBLDCVSDSSM03 at port 50018: Connection refused: connect (port 50018 to address 10.51.31.36 ".
When I checked I found that SDM is not running.I tried to start the SDM using standalone and integrated mode but no luck.
After this it is creating 2 log files "sdm_server.err" and "sdm_server.out".But both the files are of 0KB and no content is there.
Please suggest.

Errors during slave sync in MDM 7.1 SP7
Hello Experts,
we are facing below errors while synchronizing slave repositories with master using command
clix repSynchronize hostname DVS_SLAVE:DVS:D:db2dvs:password User1:password
Error on rep1: 0xffaa0201,User not found
Error on rep2 0xffabe100, unexpected transaction ID
Error on rep3: 0xffabe100, Unexpected transaction ID
Error on rep3: When requesting pending changes, received the following error from the master MDS: Referenced MDM repository is not a master (RC 0xFFABE103)
But am able to connect to the repositories with the same user from console and this user has even Admin role.
Please check the error code and provide your views on this issue.

validation of email addresses in sap standard
Hello,
email addresses (like in contact data of user or business partner) are validated using function module SX_INTERNET_ADDRESS_TO_NORMAL. With parameter SX_SMTP_ADDRESS_CHECK and value NEW in table SXPARAMS an new functionality is used (Class CL_BCS_EMAIL_ADDRESS).
--> see sap note 1789073.
It is stated that the validation is based on RFC 5322.
My requirement is that I need to enter email-addresses with special character (german umlauts).
According to RFC 5322 special character are not allowed. With RFC 6531 (from 2012) many unicode characters are allowed including german umlauts.
How do I get SAP to use the "new" validation rules, allowing german umlauts?

PSE file lost - how to recreate?
Hi everybody,
We have a wildcard certificate for *.domain.tld. The server, which was used to create the CSR for this certificate, is no longer available.
Anyway, I have the CSR, the private key and the intermediate certificates.
Is there any way to create a PSE which can be used on a NetWeaver server? I searched for days now, but cannot find the right approach.
I really don't want to buy all new certificates.
