Safety Belt Setting - Impact on BW

Hi,

We are planning to implement the Safety Belt setting to restrict the data that is coming into the Business Objects reports. When we are doing pilot testing for this setting, we have observed that Bex Analyzer and Web Application Designer are also affected due to this setting. Can anyone explain why this is affecting Bex applications? as for Business Objects, this setting will be applied to all the reports that uses BICS connection to Bex queires.
