Dear All,

Recently we go through migration process. The only thing we change from old system to new system is SID.

Our old development name is DVB and we change it to EHD.

After migration everything works fine except the transport we created when SID was DVB.

STMS configuration is working fine for any new change and transport, but for old transport DVBK(XXXXXXX) its giving error.

We are also unable to delete it because the task under the transport was already released before.

Also we cannot make new TR because object are locked under old TR.

Is there any way we can delete all these old transport to release all locked object and create new TRs?

Need the community help to overcome this problem.

     We are in the middle of an upgrade cycle to move to BW 7.31 Level 5. The upgrade has been done in our DEV and QA. I made a
small change (adding one DTP) to a process chain in DEV. I sent the transport to QA. In our previous version (7.01 Level 9), when you went to the target system ( QA for example) after transporting a process chain, and you double clicked the process chain, the Modified version had to be explicitly activated in the target system for it to become the Active version.

After transporting the slightly altered process chain from DEV to QA, I went into QA and double clicked the process chain. I saw that the Active
version already included the new DTP. Great. Apparently in 7.31 you no longer have to activate a process chain after a transport. However, I also discovered that the process chain executed as soon as the Method Execution (0) Successfully Completed entry was in the transport log. That’s not good. This particular chain is a Local chain that is called from another process chain. It is not a Periodic job and is set to Immediate start. To be absolutely sure of this behavior, I later needed one more DTP in the process chain. I added the DTP in DEV and transported the process chain to QA. When I saw the transport complete, I logged in to QA, went to RSA1, and did a Manage on a cube I knew would be loaded by the process chain. Sure enough there was a new load request running. I never even went into RSPC, so I know I did not execute the process chain. Have any of you experienced this behavior? If so, is there an OSS Note that corrects this issue? I did a Notes Search but couldn’t find anything.

Hi gurus,

When i am replicating the data from r/3 to bw in r3 source system it is giving error the error is RFC connection to source system Q_ESTL_010 is damaged ==> no Metadata upload.

I have checked the rfc connection it is working fine i will be glad if anyone helps me in this matter.

We performed an upgrade to our BW 7.01 environment. We followed the ASU recomendations prior and after the upgrade. Everything seems to be OK except for the fact that we are unable to retrieve data from the source systems. The connections are OK and "Activate" and "Check" give positive feedback.

I've attached the error we're receiving in the BW monitor regarding the process.

Any ideas of what can be wrong?

I've double checked most of the BW configuration, base on another 7.31 environment, and everything seems to be setup OK.

We have 4 drive on windows C, D, E and F.....page file given from c and d drive e and f having database and log ,,,,now we are moving our datafile from e and f to san .....now our e and f is free ................we have allocated 64 GB of page file from C drive and D drive page size is 100 GB ....can we split the page file now ....C 64 gb ,,D 50 GB ,,,E 50 GB ,,F 50 GB.....

My mean is if we will change the page file after sap installation.....whether it will make any difference in performance........

Please suggest whether we can overwrite/convert kernel of type 'REL' to 'EXT' (extended) type ? Actually the situation is that I have upgraded BI (ABAP based) to NW 7.3 EHP1 SP6. After completion of upgraded, in SICK, it's showing following error:-

Please, do not use that system before fixing these problems.

I can launch the SDM but I cannot deploy anything I first received the following error

Hello Experts,

I'm having this situation:

I have a DEV, QAS, PRD landscape for SAP ERP. They're not in the same release. DEV is ERP 6.0 and QAS & PRD are ERP 6.0 EHP5. I know its weird. I want to go through EHP6 so as I'm not having DEV in the same release I first plan to do some EHP6 test in a sandbox (PRD copy) and the go through EHP6 in QAS, then I want to make a system Copy of QAS (with EHP6) with R3load method and replace the DEV system. Is there a problem with replacing a development system? I know that some things will be lose, like customer program versions, anything else? Any recomendation before trying this strategy?

DB: Oracle 11G.

I am not sure what reinstalling means. We just have to extract the jar and dll files and put them in classpath and path.

The server OS is Windows 2003 Server.

I am facing some memory  management issue in my sap production server. we are using ecc 6.0 EHP4 with 48 gb ram and total 150 gb swap space size.

we are using windows server 2008 r2 server. how to set the best parameter size. My current parameter are

Hello, everybody.

Standart TCP/IP connection named "MDX Parser" doesn't work. It says "timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV' : cmRc=20 thRc=456 Timeout dur".

When I try to run mdxsvr in command line it says that librfc32.dll could not be found.

And there is no such dll in the directory with mdxsvr, but there is a librfc32u.dll.

How can I solve this problem?

My server parameters:

- IA64

- Windows 2003

- SAP NetWeaver 2004s

Dear All,

Recently we go through migration process. The only thing we change from old system to new system is SID.

Our old development name is DVB and we change it to EHD.

After migration everything works fine except the transport we created when SID was DVB.

STMS configuration is working fine for any new change and transport, but for old transport DVBK(XXXXXXX) its giving error.

We are also unable to delete it because the task under the transport was already released before.

Also we cannot make new TR because object are locked under old TR.

Is there any way we can delete all these old transport to release all locked object and create new TRs?

Need the community help to overcome this problem.
